When a board topic is created for a download would be possible to include at least image 1 in the post if there happens to be an image attached. Just like you do with topics created by gallery pro?

since MP4 appears to be replacing FLV as the standard for long videos in applications like Camtasia would it be possible for you to add the default MP4 extension to use Quicktime? This way we can URL link to big MP4's.

I just checked my logs yesterday and notice that this is everywhere.

Apply Filter: Only show the errors with the same message

Bugs / 1.4 possible bug?

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 7776 bytes) in /home/public_html/smf/Sources/Gallery.php on line 4585

I get that now if the image is larger than my max image size specified in the settings. Is this an issue with me or with gallery? I never got this in 1.3, but then again I have a lot more features turned on now that I didnt then.

Okay I have a request for a run away gallery situation.

I currently have a gallery that has a few hundred photos of various designs by various designers.

The new trend on the gallery by a handful of members has been to run around giving photos 1 star like it was a slap in the face instead of a valid rating. I guess like leaving a penny for a waitresses tip.

It has pretty much led to new forum users being less likely to post their works because they are afraid of being embarrassed or getting the 1 star treatment. So we had to totally disable the rating system since it was being abused.

Here's what I think would solve the problem and enable us to bring it back (because many members really enjoyed it a lot... so much that they are now upset about it being gone.)

If a user rates a picture would it be possible to make them comment to rate it? And have the Stars appear in the comment as well as the overall totals. This way, now all users know exactly who gave who what and for what reason. I think this will also stop people from randomly slamming someones post by giving it a 1 star knowing that their identity is no longer hidden.

It's one thing to give 1 star and say "hey i thought this this and this about your image" so that it is taken as constructive criticism vs "bam! 1 star that shizzle suckers! so that my ratings look better!"

Hopefully this is an easy addition to the gallery. I think it will make people respect the system a bit better instead of abusing it.

Feature Requests / Hide from cart, but available via URL

We talked about this a little in a different post but I wanted to make sure it was in the request list.

I sometimes have digital data that I produce for customers that I would like to link them to via the store. However, since some of this data isn't really meant for the store I don't want it visible in the cart.

I would like to tell my customer "Hey click here and you can purchase and download your stuff" and then pass them a URL which takes them to the product.

I had a joomla cart that was capable of doing this back in the day. Any chance you could add a HIDE IN STORE and then show the URL to the product in the admin section?

Support / Hidden shop items?

Is there anyway to hide an item in the shop but directly url link it to someone?

I do some product design work and would like to be able to sell the files to customers via the shop without everyone seeing them.

If i could just link them to an item that isnt visible in the shop that would be great. I was able to do this with my joomla cart software in the past.

Bugs / Sub Category Permissions

When creating a sub category the permissions should automaticlly inherit the parent category permissions unless otherwise set. As of now, Guests and certain membergroups can't see my parent category but can do whatever they want in the sub category?

Also, in the Most Viewed / Recently Added and Top Rated. That area should not show thumbs to items the user doesn't have access to. That's how I ended up with users watching content from a sub cat that they shouldn't have had access to. =/

So now with 10 sub cats, I have to manually create permissions for each sub cat instead of just the main cat. Brutal....

Bugs / Category totals bug

I noticed today after doing some house cleaning of my videos that when you edit a photo/video and change its category, the category doesn't actually update its totals count until Add New has happened. Can you have it retotal on Edit Video/Image as well?

When you view a video, the details show the filesize of the attached preview picture not the filesize of the video.

maybe i didnt make sense with that last post.

id like to ftp a large video say for example 100 mb

then instead of a youtube url post a local one such as http://www.mywebsite/videos/largevideo.flv

otherwise im stuck using the php upload which is kinda poop, especially when i have a bunch to get up on the server.

Support / Still no Buy Now

well i still get 0 bids showing up on categories that do not have Auctions, and no Buy Now button at all.... I am at wits end with this mod.

Please tell me I have this category configured wrong, I can't bear the thought that its still this code.
