Support / Paypal interface with SMF Store - Standard Vs Premium or Business?

Hi Hacks,

I'm wondering what happens if only standard Paypal is used with SMF Store? I understand there will be no IPN, but will the store still work without the IPN notifications & I can just check paypal manually?

Support / Paypal upgrade & store interface

With the scheduled Paypal certicate upgrade to SHA-256 due on September 30, does this effect the SMF Store interface with paypal IPN? If so, is there any changes required?

Support / Store User - multiple items

Hi Hacks,

I've just looked at allowing the store user feature & it looks like the 3rd party is able to add products in the category set up for this use ok.

My question is: how can a customer purchase multiple items? It appears to only allow one item to be purchased, then directs to paypal to finalise the purchase. It gives a BUY NOW button, not an ADD TO CART button compared to the items I sell.

I'm trialing this as a precursor to setting up a stand alone store URL to allow multiple 3rd party users.
This being the case, I'd also like to have the Download & Subscription Settings removed as it will only complicate things for those users given permission add products.

Feature Requests / insert html into image description

I'd like to be able to insert a google map wrapped in html tags to the image or in the description field.

Can the mod be added / updated so this can be done?

Support / Can't access 3rd level sub-categories

I have some 2nd & 3rd level categories in my gallery.

Gallery >
Location Pictures >
QLD
NSW
VIC

I can access Gallery, and the sub-category Location Pictures (and all other sub-categories) but cannot access the 3rd level to load images into. Can view previously loaded images but cannot load images into this level, or move images from other categories into these levels.

Any tips on how to fix Hacks?

Support / Installed Newsletter Pro, now what?

Hi Hacks Team,

I downloaded the Newsletter version 3.0 , it installed perfectly on SMF 2.0.4

After installation it automatically redirected me to MAIN > ADMIN > NEWSLETTER PRO - perfect

I have the following tabs: SETTINGS / LISTS / MESSAGES / REPORTS / CAMPAIGNS / IMAGE HOSTING / SIGNUP FORM / MANAGE LINKS / UNSUBSCRIBE LIST

There is no where can I see how to actually create, build or add content to a newsletter. And I cannot see where anyone can sign up or subscribe to the newsletter. Am I missing something?

Also is there a portal block code for subscribing?

Support / Meta Descriptions help?

Hi Hacks,

My google webmaster tools has flagged software purchased from here as having Meta Descriptions being "too short".

For better SEO, how can we insert meta descriptions that relate to the products we sell?

Can you add a field when making a new product to add meta tags?, AND / OR can you add a field where we can add a general meta description in the store that will then carry over to all products in store?

Same for Classifieds....

Great software & great support.

Feature Requests / Returns Policy & Shipping Conditions TABS request

Hi SMF Hacks,

Can you create an option to have extra tabs in the store menu for:
A- Shipping / Postage policy statement / FAQs, AND
B- Returns Policy / Warranty statement

Also be able to turn these ON / OFF is not required eg for digital stores.

A desirable location would be in the store menu, next to the tabs Search / View Shopping Cart / MyOrders / Wish List

These would certainly be of benefit for our store.

Feature Requests / Shipping Conditions for overseas

Hi SMF Hacks,

SMF Store is working great for us & the support is awesome.

We are beginning to sell items overseas & there is obviously a different postage / shipping cost around this. Are you able to integrate a drop down box where customers can select their country & then have an editable shipping condition for that country?
If not, then simply 2 options; A - domestic customer, OR, B - Overseas customer.

This feature would be very helpful.

Support / Gallery Pro - chmod permission settings?

Have the full gallery suite and have moved site to a new server. Images now cannot be loaded into the gallery.

SMF Hacks can you kindly tell me the correct chmod permissions that the gallery pro (and store also please) should be set at for correct operation please?

Modifications Talk / Global Headers & Footers problem

Have installed Gloabal Headers & Footers. Footer worked fine, but when I added a header I cannot see most of the Tiny Portal, forum posts or even open anything under the menu in the admin section. In effect I cannot even open the global H&F to remove the header.

Any help appreciated.

Support / Child Category total products?

I have a few levels of child categories in some areas of my store.

The total products from the child categories don't add up to the store front page on those with the higher levels of child categories. Is there a way to make the total product quantities add up on the store front page?
