Support / The category doesn't exist.« on: August 21, 2014, 07:21:57 pm »
When trying to add a new category or sub-category the process seems to go OK and the new category is added to the Manage Categories list but thereafter any attempt to use/edit/delete the category results in an error page saying, "The the category doesn't exist."
Just started using SMF Gallery Pro again after having it offline for several months and after re-installing it a few days back I added three categories and they work just as expected with no issues, but today when trying to add a new category this issue started. Thanks... Ken. 33

I've been uninstalling the Mods one at a time and then testing gallery access... when TP was uninstalled the gallery returned to normal. I'll post about this on tinyportal.net to see what can be done. Hopefully you and IchBin™ can help to sort it out. 34

My site was off line for all of 2013 and just brought back online a couple of weeks ago.
When starting it up again with the current (at that time) SMF and the db was loaded with the last saved file from December 2012 and then TinyPortal and SMF Gallery 5.0.4 were installed. A couple of small Mods were also installed, Childboards as Dropdown and Simple Youtube Video Embedder/BBC. Then today I updated SMF to 2.0.7 and updated TP (to 1.108) as well because of some minor conflicts between the new SMF and to old TP. Before this latest issue came up the gallery seemed to work OK. 36

An image will come up, but a category will not and gives the error message.
This is true with any category I've tried, here's a couple: http://www.ourfamilyforum.org/index.php?action=gallery;cat=349 http://www.ourfamilyforum.org/index.php?action=gallery;cat=346 37

Just tried an uninstall on the gallery so that a fresh/current copy could be installed and got lots of errors.

Sorry if this has been covered, didn't find any info on the issue.
When trying to access any of the albums or category's in my install the following error page comes up. Quote An Error Has Occurred! The only error showing in the forum error log is this: Quote http://www.ourfamilyforum.org/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=7956Thanks... Ken. 40

I'll take a look at doing that way because it sounds like your method is better than mine.

Is there a way to remove a banned user from the user gallery list?
My forum is set to 'admin approval' for new members and when a spammer registers to my forum I sometimes ban (instead of just deleting them) the member/spammer without ever allowing them to actually become a member. Doing it this way means that the banned spammer shows up in the User Gallery list and it would make for a much cleaner list if it were possible to remove them. Thanks... Ken. 42
Support / Image Linking Codes« on: June 02, 2011, 04:11:40 pm »
This may have been covered before, but a search didn't return an answer.
There seems to be no easy way to select an 'Image Linking Codes' link so that it can be used in a topic/post. Is there any way to simply click on the link box causing the link to be selected or highlighted so that it can then be copied into a post? ... dragging your cursor across the link to highlight it is very ineffective because this method rarely works as expected. Thanks... Ken. 43

Don, when I said, "I have no idea about what your issue is..." my meaning was that I don't know what is causing your issue.
When checking your site the 'Gallery' link shows as "?action=mgallery" and goes to the Media Gallery. If the link "?action=gallery" is entered into your browser address bar it will then take you to the SMF Gallery. So, it looks like the issue has to do with something that is breaking or corrupting your links and not the two galleries themselves. As mentioned, I don't know why that is happening, so that's why I've not offered an opinion on how you should proceed. 44

Don, your gallery page is not accessible by a guest, so that copyright entry is not showing for me, but the address is showing as; '..?action=mgallery' when the Gallery link is activated and that is the address extension for the SMF Media Gallery.
I have no idea about what your issue is, but it's generally better to get one mod working correctly before going to the next one. That would be especially so in this case with two gallery mods. The version of media gallery that I'm using has an address using the word Media (?action=media) and my Gallery Pro is using Gallery (?action=gallery). In other words, two completely different button names and two different address strings. It sounds like your version of media gallery may be trying to use the same names as gallery pro, so you may need to uninstall media gallery before gallery pro will work correctly. 45
