Thought I would introduce my self. My name is Fred, it is what the f stands for in my display name. The display name comes from a video blog I started in 2019. The site was using word press but went offline and the database was wiped some time in 2021 and I didn't realize it as I got busy until 2022. In the beginning 2023  I decided to get the site back up and running and started out using a cms called composer and had it running for a while but it is now down and with how much of a pain it is to use composer I went searching for a better cms. I then decided why not try smf even though it is not a cms. It looked like with enough mods I could get smf to do what I want. And that brings me to why I am here. I have a new site and plan on using smf and several of the mods found here to give me the cms like options that I want. So far in texting your gallery I have to say this works way better than word press and composer and is less of a head ache.

Hope it was ok to give you a back story of how I got here.

That's great to hear! Yeah I have used SMF as the base of many projects. Wordpress for me while a great ecosystem, you can get I love SMF more easily with bad plugins, and performance is bad with certain plugins/themes as well.

Thanks, I decided to go ahead and get the suite. Kind of threw me off when it didn't have a download and just took me to the forum but I figured it out. Again keep up the good work. I think the only mod you need is an article mod. However it is not that important .

Thanks for your support! Yes had a paid articles mod in the works just never finished it, have a lite version.

The one I found on smf's web site says it is made by you so I am using that one. You probably have a lot of work to do like I do so not getting to it is not big deal. So I fully understand, just getting my site back up is taking way longer than I want.
