Auto converting to webp or AVIF

I doubt this is already a feature, but I know the formats have been added to the support. In a future update, could an option to automatically convert images to x format be possible?

Could be a possible feature always has a risk of loosing quality going by one format to another.

I haven't tried the gallery yet, but I think it would be useful if the quality could be handled well. Thanks 👍🏻
