Import Pictures vs Batch FTP Add?

What is the difference between Import Pictures and Admin>Gallery config>Batch FTP Add?

I can get the "Batch FTP Add" to work great, but I can not seem to get Import Pictures to do anything.

Not anything I notice anyway.

Are they not both just used for uploading a batch of photos?

Import pictures is a basic function to just grab photos from a directory and import them into a category.

Batch FTP allows you to upload photos,folders with photos and import them into a category that you choose and has more options and settings that you can choose from.

They both pretty much work the same way for importing pictures

Thanks for the quick reply.

Being Batch FTP works so great I won't worry about the import pictures option.

One thing I did notice on the Batch FTP is when I have this checked "Ignore gallery height,width,filesize max settings" it still does not upload them unless the photos are under the 640x480 limit I set.

The other check box "Delete files in ftp folder on successful import" works when I have that one checked.

I also have checked in settings, "Resize Images if too large" and they do not seem to resize.

Is there something I am missing?

It does not do the resize if too large for batch ftp.

Fixed the Ignore gallery height,width,filesize max settings I belive in SMF Gallery 1.3 final

ok on the resize, not a big deal.

Is SMF Gallery 1.3 final out?
