Uninstalling SMF Gallery Lite ?

Hi, 

I just purchased Pro version and started with installation procedure as mentioned in ReadMe.txt.

First thing was uninstalling SMF Gallery Light via SMF ManagerPackage Manage
If I look in Browse Packages Tab I see that SMF GAllery Light has NO Uninstall option (see picture below).
If I look at Installed Packages Tab there IS Uninstall Option (see picture below).

Before messing things I would like to know whether I can use this Uninstall Option (in Installed Packages Tab) or do I have to follow procedure as suggested in another similar topic . This suggestion is rather unclear to me since I am NO expert in SMF stuf.

I would appreciate some assistance.

Add this to the package manager url and you will be able to install / uninstall 1.1.2 mods.
;version_emulate=1.1.2

Should look something like this
http://www.yourforum.com/index.php?action=packages;version_emulate=1.1.2

If it was older try using 1.1.1 instead for the variable it should then give you the unistall option.

Unfortunately I am still confused about your suggestion  . Therefore I have some more questions …

Where can I find this Package Manager URL?

Should I login as Admin in my forum, go to “Packages“ and choose one of the Tabs? Which Tab?

Or do I have to open one of .php scripts (on my web server) and ADD the suggested ;version_emulate=1.1.2 ?

If it is not much trouble a picture (screen dump) would be greatly appreciated. After all … a picture can say 1000 words.

Hi,

OK, I figured out your suggestion … 

After placing ;version_emulate=1.1.1 which is apparently my version, I did get Uninstall option.

Unfortunately during Uninstall Test I’ve got some Error messages and suggestion not to proceed with uninstall (see picture for error details).

Any suggestion what I should do to correct these error messages?

Those are ok. I would just unistall gallery lite and then install gallery pro.
There might be a permissions should I would attach managepermissions.php from the sources folder to his post after you install gallery pro and I can fix it.

There are still some remaining trails of Gallery Light but they do not produce any error messages. Is an “cosmetic” issue…. I think

If I look at List Files I get overview of the remaining files of Galley Light (see attached picture).

Can I delete these files by using Delete Option in Package Manager (see attached picture)?

You can delete the old gallery lite package. But don't the files applied to the forum.

Hi I am also installing smf pro after having lite previously. I ran in to the exact same problem. Took a screen shot was about to post it, saw this post and tried your suggestion of adding ;version_emulate=1.1.2 to what I assumed you meant the url at the top of the browser.

Unfortunately I still don't have an uninstall option on the lite version. Any other suggestions?

Try changing it to 1.1.1

The version number depends on when you installed it with SMF
