cant find the classifieds?

sorry new to this but doin ok so far, till now- got the classifieds installed i believe- it is showing in my installed packages-
but i am at a loss as to where it actually is for me to work on it- there is not a tab up top by boards, help, etc,...  not in my admin panel anywhere i can see to make it "visible" where i guess i thought it would show up?

Should install on the default theme.

In the admin panel. You should see a link to the Classifieds Configuration.

hmmm- nope, not there- now, is it supposed to be between the server settings and the current theme? there is this weird empty space there:

in there? the boards were installed via fantastico- and the package came in fine - it shows under my browse packages area with a link to uninstall-list files-delete, so i guess it is in there- i just cant find them for the life of me :-)

well, i am at a loss- it is like the classified are running under invisible :-) was there something else i was supposed to do other than approve the packet thru?

What language are you using?
If you are using english make sure you are using english and not english utf8

a-HA! it is english utf8!
but, i cant change it- it is grayed out- says:

These settings cannot be changed because Settings.php is read only.

See if you can change the permission on the file to 755 for linux using chmod.
That file should be writable since it is used by SMF many to changing settings.

you are a freakin GOD- i actually went to packages > options > clean up permissions, and set it to all files are writable, and made the change- do you reccommend now that i have the language right, changing it back to only standard files are writable?

And last are you using the default theme with smf or a custom theme?

the default theme- i need to have someone get in and change out the word "classifieds" to the word "marketplace"- that can be done i think-
i am about to look for and read a manual on how to set up the thing- the area doesnt mention auction area, or the categories and stuff- gotta get learnin here!

To change the word Classifieds for the menu link you will need to edit modifications.english.php found in themes/default/languages/
For the main classifieds language file is found in themes/default/languages/classifieds.english.php

ok- back! hehe- 
very easy to change my button to say marketplace- thank you!  when you click that button you come to the main page- and smack across the front it big letters it says classified- which page do i edit for that one?

the plot thickens- more weirdness-
i was so excited yesterday- but i notice that everytime i leave the boards and logout, when i log back in, the classifieds are gone again- and i have to go back and click it to english, even tho it is already ON english- i just click english, again, hit save, and it is back in my buttons up top- happens every time i log out-

groan ;-( i have a haunted server playing freakin tricks on me- what do i do with this one?
