Vid thumbnails

having installed the vid mod in my gallery i really dont think the users will manually enter a thumbnail, most of my users use youtube or google vid links would it be posible to at least have a mod that will generate thumbnails for these automatically?

Thumbnails generated will not be possible due to different formats and there is no easy way to get a screenshot of a video.

If they do not upload a thumbnail uses a generic video icon for the video.

So, is there a way to set the default video icon to something else?

It may be possible to do thumnail generation if instead of doing just a straight upload, the mod converts to flash. I know there are tools you can integrate into websites to do this, so maybe a future version of this mod can take advantage of one of these tools and convert to flash, this would allow for thumbnails and probably a wider rang of video formats .
