Procedure to update to latest version without losing data

Hi there

I've got the classified on my forum on the default theme plus two other. Please can you advise me on how to upgrade to the latest version without losing any data and so that it works on all themes...

I usually ask someone to do the upgrades for me but as you seem to be updating it alot it makes sence to learn how to do it instead otherwise I'll be forking out alot of money everytime you update it 

I'm a complete newbie so an easy step by step will be appreciated and I'm sure loads of people will find it very helpful.

First upgrade your account so you can access the customer forums.

Then grab the latest version from
http://www.smfhacks.com/index.php/topic,1149.0.html

Currently the procedure to upgrade to the next version is to unistall the current version then install the new version of the classifieds mod.

Will this need to be done to all three themes separately or just to any one theme?

Only once the unistall only removes the code from the default theme but then is reapplied once the mod is reinstalled.
