Problems with Install and viewing mods
« on: December 01, 2007, 06:29:59 pm »
Help, Please. I see to be having a problem with some mods. I have tried to install gallery lite and usercp mod. Everything seems fine and installs perfectly. For gallery lite, the problem is that the buttons don't show up and there is nothing to config. The same with the user cp. I though that it may be a problem with one of my themes so I deleted all but the default theme but it made no difference. I tried to install Tiny portal and it also installed fine but there were no buttons in the config to change it. I am using smf 1.14 I tried to install manual using the smf parser and everything checked out but still made no difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have these mods also installed.

I'm by no far an expert but after having major problems with my site for a couple of months and finally finding the "right" person for the job to get things where they need to be (after being in maintenance mode) for a week just looking @ the mods you have installed I'm almost 100% positive the problems you're having now and will probably in the future are stemming from the mods changing and even moving things that other mods may need to install or work properly (even if it says they are installed-I found out that's not necessarily the news). I too got WAY wrapped up in all of the neat features and things that some of the mods bring but it cost me nothing but $$$ and "down-time". So you may as I did create a fresh "test site" and start from the top with your mods/installs, I think I had about 35 mods but now under 20 and a couple of the last few mods I installed prior to having gotten "the white-screen of death" was the Welcome Topic & Visual Warning. I hope I offered you a little insight and I wish you luck! Aloha
