Changing ur style of theme.

Hey guys, i have been looking for away to change my colors of my theme on my forums.
Can someone guide me on how to do that.
I know that it can be done i am just not sure where to go to do it, and i don't want to screw anything up. It took me a long time to get everything up how i want it already. But i want to change it, it is SMF Default Theme-Core. All i want to do is change colors, add a banner.

Go to your style.css file and play arround there, don't forget to back up your data base.
