Classifieds Mod

This is probably a new mod, not really a feature request to the current Classifieds mod.

What we really need is a classifieds mod that works in the forums like a post you can insert into a board.

We found that businesses want to place ads in forum posts where everyone can see them just like any other post in the forums. Their issue is, using a classified application or mod, their business listings will only be seen if someone actually launches the classifieds application. When they can do it as a post, it is much more visible to general members and guests. All the action is in the forums and that’s where they want their ads to be.

I created a special board called business and sponsor listings and then setup a form by which they can send their ad information via email and pay the monthly fee via paypal. Then I insert it as a post in the board. It’s been hugely popular are we are taking new ads almost everyday.

Problem is, there’s no real way to manage them in the forums, set display orders, cycle ads back up to the top or set automatic expirations or notifications.
