GD is required for resizing of images

I'm considering SMF Gallery Pro for our forum and where can I find more info on this requirement ...

"GD is required for resizing of images” so I know if I have it on my server or if I can install it.

2nd question, will SMF Gallery Pro be compatible with SMF 2.0 with in comes out?

Yes you can install it if you have GD installed and are using SMF 1.0.x or SMF 1.1.x

SMF Gallery Pro will have an SMF 2.0 release once the SMF 2.0 is completed.
