Gallery settings keep resetting!
« on: December 29, 2007, 10:44:18 am »
The Gallery settings aren't saved for more than a minute. Max Image width and height is set back to 0, max file size too, and all of the check boxes are empty. I can reassign values to all of them, and save and everything works. But a minute later everything resets again.
Any ideas as to why this happens?

This is frustrating, as it makes the Gallery completely useless.

I can watch it happen in the database too, as I have direct access to it. When I save the settings, I can see the values change in the database. Then I wait for about a minute, and I can see them change back again.

EDIT: It seems as if I can alter the settings directly in the database, and then they'll stick. But if I edit one setting on the Gallery configuration page, and save the settings from there, all settings are removed again a minute later.

Strange do you have any caching enabled on your forum? For either MySQL or PHP?

Nope, no caching enabled.

There are no caching tools on the server, except for the ones in MODx, and they aren't involved in this, as the forum and gallery aren't integrated with MODx. I tried that first, but the integration plug-in for MODx is outdated and doesn't work with the current version.

I wonder if this can have something to do with the fact that we've changed the URL to the forum.

As far as I can remember, It worked in the old location, but it doesn't work now.

Old URL: "http://ny.litenhund.se/forum/index.php?action=gallery"
(real URI to the gallery folder: http://ny.litenhund.se/forum/gallery/" )

New URL: "http://www.litenhund.se/forum/index.php?action=gallery"
(real URI to the gallery folder: http://www.litenhund.se/forum/gallery/" )

Old path: "/hsphere/local/home/pepsi1/ny.litenhund.se/forum/gallery/"
New path: "/hsphere/local/home/pepsi1/litenhund.se/forum/gallery/"

Another problem appeared up just now: I turned on "Allow multiple folders", but I've had to turn it off again as the folder "0" that was created first didn't become writable.
