Batch FTP issue
« on: February 21, 2008, 11:27:44 am »
I am not sure if this is the right place to ask this question.

If I understand the batch ftp function correctly, I upload my pictures into the ftp folder inside the gallery folder and then pic them up from there via the admin panel

The problem I have is that I am completely unable to upload any file into the ftp folder. It is set to chmod 755 and I cannot set it to chmod 777. My host company said that I needed to enable SSH ... whatever that is ... however doing so does not seem to have made any difference

Any ideas what I can try next ...

If you have a control panel try to upload it using the control panel.
That issue does sound like a webhosting issue since they won't let you change permissions on a file but that said if you are able to upload photos to your gallery folder then the ftp folder should have the same permissions as that folder.

I know it sounds strange and I have asked the support at my host the question why a folder inside another folder (ftp inside gallery) behaves strangely ... they haven't yet come back to me
