place text in the description box

Hi all,

Is there a way to add some pre determined text into the description box on the upload an image screen?

My members seem to be forgetting to place good descriptions so I want to place a few lines there to remind them of the gallery rules with the idea that they delete that text and write their description.

Yeah you would need to edit Gallery.template.php and find other the template_add_picture function and search for the textarea that contains description. Then just add it between the textarea tags.

I located the code but am unsure of the syntax needed to add text to the description box.

You are just inserting text in the middle of the textarea tags.
