Possible Gallery Mod?

Is there a way the Gallery Lite package could be modified to indicate when a gallery has new entries?  We have 7 different galleries and it's painstaking to check each one to see if there's been anything new.

Maybe the date/time of the last file uploaded could be put on that gallery's index page?

Would be nice if a little "new" indicator could let a user know if there was anything new since last visit but I suspect that might be difficult but a last upload date on the index page would do the trick nicely.

The pro version has something to let you know when images are waiting approval. Not to mention a lot of other nice things

That's not what I meant.  We don't approve images on my board. 

What I wanted is an indicator on the index page so ANY person looking at the list of galleries would know when a new image was added to any given gallery without having to open each individual gallery.

hmmmm.. doesn't the lite have that Recent Pictures (List All) link which will show visitors the most recent pictures regardless of what gallery they are in?  I always click the (List all) and see all the latest uploads.

I just checked and no, that option is not available in the lite version.  Even if we did, that wouldn't solve my problem.

We have like 8 boards and each one has its own gallery.  Some people belong to all the boards, others do not.  They like to comment on the NEW images that are uploaded each day.  Having the date of last upload on each forum or some kind of indicator that there are new images since they last looked, would be a great plus.
