No current setting. You could search for google and get anti right click script which you could insert in your index.template.php in the header/footer to prevent some people from taking the images from the site.

i was thinking that but i heard those also prevent users on your forums from right clickin and copying text on your forums which is a feature i need to keep, Be really nice if you all could build something into the program that would allow you to set the gallery so pic could not be downloaded.

thanks

The main reason why I don't like those kind of scripts is it really does not stop someone if they really wanted to get the image.

They can either disable javascript then they are able to grab the image.
They can print screen or capture the screen to get the image.
They could grab the image from the cache of the computer.
Somtimes even with the javascript they could click on the image and get the source or goto properties in the browser to get the image.

The only people it stops are the people with basic computer knowledge.

Do you happen to have an example of someone lifting an image from your site and using it somewhere else?

No , no example and not sure if its been done. Just wanted to give the uploaders some kind of security, even if it is just a little. Was just a though that would be a nice feature to add the option.

OK, well you shouldn't really rely on the Gallery to do that, rather, you could "protect" your entire site's imagery using something like this code. As smfhacks suggests, it won't truly protect your images. It would certainly help, but that code would only prevent users from right-clicking a rendered page. A simple Alt-PrintScreen would capture an image. The animated gifs (and really all of the images on a site with anti-right-click code) presented on this page could easily be located by viewing the page code.

Another way to give them a little security is to have a watermark put on the images and then supply a link in a forum accessable by forum members only to download any images in your gallery. The link would go to a folder on your server containing zip files with the images. Most people would not want to right click an imaghe with even a faint water mark accross the middle of the image. the best is one that goes diagonal accross the image from corner to corner. done light enough it won't totally spoil the image except for those who like to right click.

This was done with layers using Paint Shop Pro. You can further adjust the opacity so the wording is more opaque and see through. This was just to give an example of what I mean. The clear unmarked image would be zipped and put on the server and a link provided to your members so they could download the clear image rather then right clicking and gettin a marked image. It may seem like a lot of extra work but on some sites the members are worth the extra effort.

Clear and available for right clicking

Marked Image still right clickable but would you take an image nmarked like this
