Removing SMFGallery and then Reinstalling
« on: April 19, 2008, 09:00:26 am »
Mr. Hacks, I want to do a COMPLETELY fresh install of my SMF Gallery on one of my sites. But I want it to be a COMPLETE reinstall. How do I TOTALLY REMOVE the SMFGallery and ALL tables...everything...as if it were never there.

I having some issues and also want to REORGANIZE the gallery anyway.

So I need to know how to remove all traces of it, including folders, tables, and anything else.

Thanks,

Wally

First I would do an uninstall of the main original package of SMF Gallery.

The following will  DELETE all data and stored pictures.
Delete the main gallery folder in your forum's root directory.

Inside the database for your forum delete any tables that have start with smf_gallery_
You can do this pretty easily with phpMyAdmin

Also the gallery adds some entires to the smf_settings table. The rows all start with gallery_
