I just installed Gallery Pro in the "Packages" section of SMF. Do i Still need to manually do the "File Edits"? or does the installation take care of those edits for me?

Install takes care of everything for the default theme.

If you are using a custom theme you will need to add a link to the classifieds section inside the index.template.php of that theme
