 Is there more info on exactly what the custom fields are for and how they are used?

Custom fields are created on a category level. After a category is created you have the option to edit the category and add custom fields.

Custom fields are textboxes that appear on the add picture page. You can make them required or optional and also include a default value if needed.

If they are filled out this information will appear on the view picture page.
