under Board Name
can you have a drop down  list of post that are already in that board, so when a user post's an iamge, this will post into the correct post, this would save alot of time with forum members. instead of then posting in the gallery and then posting a link back to the post.,

is this possible to achieve on the gallery , bu at present i have been unable to find a way to do this with the gallery and forum.

Not currently built into the gallery. The issue with this would be that drop down could be massive if a board has thousands of topics and probably would not work

IS there another way of doing this, as we run challanges on the forum and we have been stumped to how to automatic to post the link into the forum

Right now that feature will make a new topic for each image posted in a category that is posted on. You could do an admin only forum merge the topics together every so often then move them to the main posts.
