Comments integration forum/gallery

Hi,

I'm building a web site for a photography group for sharing photos and receiving comments from other group members. In addition it will also have technical and other discussion broads.
Plan was to do it all based on SMF but then I stumbled upon SMF Gallery Pro. I would really like to integrate the forum & gallery so that the main interface for the discussion boards would be the forum and for the photo sharing & comments  - the gallery.

To get to the point, what is important to me is that any comment posted under the pic in the gallery would be added automatically to the picture's relevant post in the forum and vise versa. I would like that whether someone use the forum interface or the gallery interface he sees all the comments for that pic.

Also, wanted to know if there is a "competition" mod for the gallery that can be used to present (& vote) for weekly/monthly contests.

The modification does not currently support posting of comments back to the topic that is autocreated or vice versa. If it is something needed I can probably get it added to the modification. For creating posts in the topic for the created picture.

Currently there is no modification for competition but I do know of others have developed their own competition systems based on SMF Gallery Pro.
