Images not showing after backup restore

After site was I love SMF and a backup restore was done (backup was at least 1 month old ) everything appears to be working correctly except no images are showing only the red x in the corner.

The backup feature inside SMF only backups up the database and not the files for the forum.

In order to do a full backup of the site you need backup all the files and folders as well. The gallery pictures are stored in gallery folder in the root directory of your forum.

I would try contacting the host generally they keep backups on hand to restore to.
