Remove sub category names

I want to clean up the parent page of the classifieds by removing the lists of sub (child) categories. It didn't list them until I turned on the count child listings for the parent total. I wouldn't mind it listing the sub categories but they seem to run together and look bad IMO. What can I do to fix this?

This part of Classifieds.template.php Do you have screenshot of how they look. I want to see what you are talking about in terms of style.

Like I said, it is just my opinion but I think the sub cat names just run together too much. Maybe if there was a vertical break line between each category name or some way of telling where one ends and the other begins.

If can try adding a <br> before the name of the sub board.

or you can put a separator (|) before or after the name of the sub board, for example:

$subcats_linktree .= '<a href="' . $scripturl . '?action=classifieds;cat=' . $row3['ID_CAT'] . '">' . $row3['title'] . '</a>&nbsp;|&nbsp;';
or something else...

I make it comma seperate if that would be better.

A bigger break and a comma would be better. The vertical line between sub cat names would work very nicely but not sure how it would effect the layout. Whatever could be done to give a clean separation between sub cat names would be very helpful. Thanks.

You can choose any separator, just edit the &nbsp;&nbsp; (which means 2 hard-spaces), in the line I mentioned, to anything you like.

Finally got some time to work on this. Thanks vkot, that vertical bar makes it look MUCH better!
