The change to gallery.php and subs-graphics.php doesn't seem to have worked. I tried a bulk upload of 9 images total size 2.17MB

similar memory error message as the others.
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4096 bytes) in /Sources/Subs-Graphics.php on line 315

My hosting provider said:

Php SUEXEC is enabled on the server
php.ini copied to my home directory

I checked both the upload_file_size and post_size which seem to be above the default

upload_max_filesize = 16M
post_max_size = 8M

Any ideas to resolve would be most appreciated

Right now it looks like your php settings limit it to 32mb

http://www.wallpaperama.com/forums/how-to-change-memory-limit-php-apache-server-t53.html

I would set it around 64mb to 128mb

Thanks for the guidance.

Have just done the change now and phpinfo is now showing 128MB instead of 32MB.

The article in the link you kindly posted, says to restart Apache

As I don't think I have control over that I will need to ask my hosting provider to do it. But what's strange is that the value returned now shows 128MB even though it hasn't been restarted.

btw is there no way to parse the memory?

I had no problems before so it seems like it's built up after the gallery got to a certain size. is this possible?

This part of the php images libraries. Does not make much sense to be either how they use so much memory for a small task of resizing a picture.

The memory usage goes up briefly for when the image is resized then goes back down to normal

I'm getting the error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 31457280 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 7776 bytes) in /home/?????/public_html/forum/Sources/Gallery.php on line 4610

I have upped the @ini value to 128Mb but still getting the error. Anything else I can try?

EDIT: Ignore me, I;d missed one of the @ini values out. Now changed and all working again :D
