making smf themes work with yap

I realize the answer could be easy making this question a very stupid one. I unfortunately can't figure out how to get the smf theme I want to work with yap. How do you do it?

I'm not afraid of or new to coding. Even if it takes changing all 50+ yap template files, css classes, etc. Is that what I have to do? I was going to attempt all that but I figured I'd ask first before I put myself through the time that would take to do it that way
...and figure out it doesn't work that there's a very simple way to do it LOL.

How do you get your favorite SMF theme to work with Yap?
