Disable Preview orginal preview image

Hello,

The 'thumbnails and preview images' are looking great.

Would it be possible to disable viewing the original image (only thumbnail and medium size images) or open this original image in a pop-up window (although I dislike pop-ups). Now it opened in the same window (_self).

Maybe this can be done with the HighSlide viewer? Like it works in the Gallery?
