FTP Importing
« on: May 05, 2009, 03:12:00 am »
I've just done a quick test to try the FTP import feature....  A couple of minor problems....

#1. An error was reported "Failed to import", even though the files WERE imported succesfully!

#2. I've set things up so that a message is posted when a new file is uploaded, but the subject heading was ignored, and instead the filename was used as the subject.

#3. It would be nice to have an option to DISABLE upload messages when uploading via FTP - I have over 800 files to import, none of which are new as I'm simply transfering them from MKPortal, so I don't really want 800 plus messages being generated!

Regards
Eddy

I thought that I was getting an Error with FTP import as well, but if you look closely its how he has the messages laid out. You get

Import Success
File1
File2
File3
Failed to Import
list
list
list

If failed to import didnt generate anything it appears like this

Import Success
File1
File2
File3
Failed to Import

Which makes it look like an error occured, but really its just the header for any failed files.

It tricked me too.

Thanks Propyl,

That explains it, but it still needs to be altered so that the "Failed to import" message isn't displayed if everything was successful....

Many thanks
Eddy
