Bulk transfer of images
« on: May 20, 2009, 12:24:16 am »
I am currently using SMF Gallery Lite 1.7.5.1 on my site which is running SMF 1.1.8 and TP 0.9.8. I plan to purchase the SMF Gallery Pro.

I have a couple of questions:
(1) Which is the latest version for my site?
(2) I know Pro can be used to upload multiple images at a time. Can it also transfer multiple images from one category to another?
(3) To install Pro, it is necessary to uninstall Lite first. Will the categories remain intact?
Thanks.

1. Latest version is 2.5beta which is in testing phase you have access to both SMF 1.1.x and SMF 2.0.x versions of the Gallery.
2. There is currently no bulk transfer function from one category to another category but would make a good feature request
3. Is needed to uninstall in order to add the new permissions to the gallery. Yes the categories and data will remain intact if you uninstall.

I just purchased Gallery Pro and I will make a request for item 2.
