[Paddleducks Forum - Damien]

Using DP v1.0.3.2 I cannot download anything, even though the permissions are all set, and an Admin should be able to access anything.... I can view the files fine, but when I try to download all I get is an error:

You are not allowed to download a file in this category.

I also noticed that when the error box is displayed, the "Admin" button at the top of the forum vanishes - As soon as I move to another page the Admin button is back! I'm using SMF v1.1.8

Do you have any category level permissions set on that category?
If so are you a member of any of those groups that are listed in that category. What is the primary membergroup of your user.
I can make it to allow admin's to override gallery category permissions.

Yes category level permissions are set - Everyone except guests should be able to download the file, guests can only view the file.

As the Admin, my primary membergroup is "Administrator".

Admins probably should have full access whatever the permissions are set to, but the fact remains that the permissions system isn't working for me - So until I;m sure all these things work as intended I cannot put Downloads Pro onto my live site

Can you try creating a test member? And see if they are able to download a file. The only thing that changed recently was I added the download permission in the pro edition. So if you had category level permissions in the lite edition you might need to add that permission to those groups as well.

I've tried using another regular account, and the same thing - It just says I don't have permission to download.....

I've never used the Lite version, and this is all setup on a brand new test site anyway, so there's certainly no old data causing a problem....

Haven't been able to reproduce it on my test forum. Can you take a screenshot of the category level permissions for the category that download is in

Figured it out in 1.0.4
Issue with the file caching which could cause that to occur.
