Thumbnails, Image Resizing, S3
« on: July 26, 2009, 07:53:02 pm »
Hello,

I have a few questions to start with:

  • Is their an option to have the latest 5 or 6 uploaded images appear as thumbnails at the top portion of my forum?
  • Can the user upload images up to my php.ini max upload file size and have Gallery Pro resizes them to the max width/height in settings?
  • Can the lightbox display images larger than a max width/height in settings, i.e., lightbox resizes the image to fit users browser?
  • Can uploaded images processed by Gallery Pro be saved to my Amazon S3 bucket where they can be referenced back by a CNAME? This keeps the images off my server freeing up disk space on my scsi drives. S3 storage has the added benefit of more performance by distributing the images and parallel loading.

Thanks,

Larry

1. Not built into the gallery but there is an addon in the customer forums that will show four images a the top of your forum.

2. There is settings to control the max filesize allowed but if the size is greater than the allowed size it will be rejected. For images that are greater than the height/width there is an option to resize the images to max allowed height/width size.

3. The gallery supports highslide/lighbox clicking on the medium size image will show the fullsize in the lightbox/highslide.

4. Does not support Amazon S3
