Admin Store permissions
« on: July 28, 2009, 08:52:22 pm »
I gave another member the ability to "admin store".  However, the permissions are very limited:  adding/editing category/item.

I expected them to be able to have full ability to admin the store.  Like, see use ALL the settings available to the site Administraor, meaning, all the functions listed in the AdminSettings2() array.

I can't figure out how to add these permissions to "admin store" member group permission option.

Thanks!

They should be able to access the settings link from the main store page to access the store settings.

Correct, they should.  And they can access them through the settings link.  However, the only options they have is to add and edit categories, etc.  They don't have the configure store permissions, so they can't see the orders pending, the logs, the inventory, etc.

When they click on the settings, they are taken to the forum admin area with no links to the store at all.

I can provide a test entity via pm so you can see it if you wish.

I apologize for that oversight.  Basic info, how could I have forgotten?  v2.0 RC1.2

Thank you.

Open Sources/Admin.php
Find
Code: [Select]
'search' => array(
'function' => 'AdminSearch',
'permission' => array('admin_forum'),
'select' => 'index'
),]
Add After
Code: [Select]
'store' => array(
'label' => $txt['smfstore_admin'],
'file' => 'Store2.php',
'function' => 'StoreMain',
'permission' => array('smfstore_manage'),
'custom_url' => $scripturl . '?action=admin;area=store;sa=admin;sesc=' . $sc,
'icon' => 'server.gif',

),

This should add a Store Configuration link under the main dropdown or main section for the forum in SMF.
