No price ads can't expire

How can I make it so an ad that doesn't have a price will have an end date? I'm hoping to use this for seeking volunteers for events and would like the call for volunteers to be deleted on the day of the event.

When you edit a category you have the option set the number of days in which a listing expires.
The default is 0 which means the listing will never expire.

If you want listings to expire after five days you would put a 5 in for the number of days for a listing to expire.

I was hoping for something per listing. So people could put in the date of the event and the listing would expire on that date.
