Catagories use their own directory on the server
« on: December 23, 2009, 07:29:56 pm »
Any chance that each different catagory can store their images in their own directory on the server?

Also, it would be cool to keep their filename too - so it's easy for the admin to know which photo is which,

Thanks,

m

Categories I could see. The issue with filenames is that there could be two photos with the same filename which could cause them to overwrite each other.

Yeah I understand that, but perhaps there can be a tilda/number rename done on the file?

The catagories would be the most interesting idea though, rather than bunging everything into one directory. I had this running nicely with Coppermine.

Yes sorting them into categories would be great. I think it will also be easier to export to other gallery software that way. Sorry to think like that...but thats always has to be given a thought by us webmasters.
