If i write a long text (lets say 300 chars) into description it will cut off in dl index display.

Just edit the description of any index and see when it would be cut off - here is mine.

Try running this sql query

ALTER TABLE smf_down_cat CHANGE description description text;

Then try doing a longer description for the category.

Changing from varchar(255) to text works so far. Thx.
