Auto Thumbnails/Avatars

Would be nice if there was a way to create auto thumbnails for categories.  (not all my users take the time to fill out the thumbnail section when creating categories.)

Also it would be nice if there was a way to link images from the Gallery to the Avatars.  So instead of copying a link it would just have a check box in "My Images" section for Avatar, and auto link the 2.  Not sure if im real clear on this one, so hope it comes across well enough.

Yes, even the main forum galleries would be nice to.  I know it probably would be alot of coding but would be a nice feature to have.

So any luck on the tieing SMF gallery to SMF avatars so you could just use your thumbnails as avatars without copying and pasting the links?

For the SMF avatars that would probably be a mod for SMF Gallery. I try to avoid any edits when possible to the core SMF system.
