[3.0a] HighSlide viewer
« on: April 07, 2010, 03:46:30 pm »
Hello SMFHacks,

I have a problem with the HighSlide viewer. I'll try to explain.

1st I select (click on) an image from the thumbnail bar, after that I click on the bigger image under the thumbnail bar and it opened with the HighSlide viewer. This is working correct. But.... when I use the next or previous links below the image the HighSlide viewer doesn't display the image so the image is opened in the browser screen. You need to click twice.

Whaaaaaa my English is sooooo bad.. sorry for that. I hope you understand.

Thanks,
Vincent

So you click the previous/next links then the highslide image does not load or appear correctly

:-\ And I have this issue on my live website and the test website. The only thing that could 'possibly' cause this is the Highslide viewer of PortaMx. I will ask the author if she can look at it. I had a sort of problem a long time ago.... also caused by PortaMx.

Going to sleep now (loc 01:08:48 am), look at it tomorrow.

Thanks for your support,

Vincent

That might mess it up if two highslides are loaded on the same page.

;DFound it! ;D
SimpleSEF is causing the problem. The reason for using SimpleSEF:

I use PortaMx as portal which is optimized for using SimpleSEF, not PrettyURLs. First thing to do next is removing SimpleSEF and try PrettyURLs.....

Here I am again...

I installed PrettyURLs. With Actions enabled the HighSlide viewer isn't working correct too. It appears on my test website and the live website. Disabling actions brings back a working HighSlide viewer.

I tried installing the extra's. I needed to emulate RC2 to get it to install. All is working fine except the HighSlide viewer. Disabling the HighSlide viewer from the portal doesn't make any sense.

So, with SimpleSEF and PrettyURLs the HighSlide viewer isn't working correct imo. On both my test- and live website.

I hope you have information enough..

Vincent
