Specifying location of ads
« on: June 02, 2010, 09:34:56 pm »
I have added my ad locations but I can't not figure out how to actually specify where the ads are shown in the location.  For example:

I want ads along the left side of certain classifieds and forum categories.
I have added the location but I can not figure out how to specify that the ads appear on the left side in that location.  What am I missing?

First make sure the adolocation is enabled and that the membergroups that you want to see the add are checked under the location.

Next create/add an ad and under locations choose the location you want it to appear. Such as Left Side of forum check that location off.

What if I have 3 different sets of ads shown in the left side tower, depending on what board they are in?  I am having trouble setting this up.

Can't do that easily. You can add multiple ads to a location which will auto rotate. But the ad location itself is set to the settings of the location. If you want to be visible on a certain forum board that location would hard set to only show that forum board. Which then means you would have to create three seperate ad locations and choose the board for each one to display on and them to the template.

Thank you for your response.

I need this done desperately and can't quite wrap my head around it.  Is there anyone that would be will to do this work for me for payment?  I need ads specified in 3-4 locations asap.

Thanks All
