Upgrade procedure
« on: May 28, 2010, 11:49:04 am »
I read the all forum but cannot find an exact upgrade procedure from 3.0.2 to 3.0.3.

I guess I have to installe 3.0.3 and then remove 3.0.2 but after 3.0.3 installation I have a link close to 3.0.2 package with "upgrade"label ??

Can you help ?

Thanks a lot

Either you can uninstall the old version and install the new version.

Or you download the latest package upload it to the package manager and it should have auto upgrade via the upgrade link.

Thanks for info. I uploaded the new package, did an "upgrade" and now I run the 3.0.3. It is a bit disturbing to still see the old 3.0.2 with an "upgrade" action still there ?

After upgrade, I had an error message in the log with "gallery_set_quickreply_full" error in admin template

I added the following code in the Gallery.english-utf8.php :

$txt['gallery_set_quickreply_full'] = 'Set Quick Reply full';

and the corresponding french translation in the french language file and it is now ok with the error.

Sounds like it should be fine now. You can delete the old packages from the package manager if they are no longer installed. Just keep the original install along with the latest upgrade package.

I still have some errors in the logs as the new US language file seems to hold more informations as the FR file I was using previously - still have to find out which ones ...

I have some text strings in this forum
http://www.smfhacks.com/index.php/board,17.0.html
Which list the major changes from the major versions such as from 2.5 to 3.0
