listproc-type feature question..

Hi folks, I'm new to SMF and I am migrating a listproc to an SMF board..

however, I ~must~ keep the listproc functionality -- in other words, I need email read/post access on the SMF board.

This seems like it should be a slam-dunk, similar to an RSS feed functionality.  Posters would subscribe to the forum and then sub-areas could be parsed with X-headers or with subject line prefixes (sort of how Yahoo groups does it?)

I've searched online here a bit and on the SMF site, but can't find anythign -- anyone want to help me a bit?  Thanks
