Unable to get SMFGalleryLite working 'Warning Gallery path is not writable! '

Hi, Ive been trying to get the gallery to work on my SMF board, it has all of the folders set to 777 permissions, and i added a catimgs folder which also has 77 set on it and all subfolders/files, but unfortunately I'm still getting the gallery path not writable message...

Any help with this query is much appreciated

I would try deleting the gallery folder and recreating again and make it writable.

thanks for the reply - tbh I did try that - I also tried making the gallery hierarchy on my desktop, then making sure it wasnt read only in windows, then dragging it into SmartFTP, then setting the permissions - I'll try it again though.

hi - ok i seem to have gotten the gallery to work - i.e. it doent give me the error when i click 'save settings', however it doesnt seem to be showing any images - even the very small one I was using for the Gallery Category thumbnail - is there some global setting I have to turn on in SMF itself?

Do you have GD installed? GD is required to make the thumbnails.

It should be listed under Admin-> Support and Credits.

well i couldnt find that exact path, however, in my FTP program I could see that it had succesfully made the thumbnail in the gallery folder, and the image i tried to upload was there aswell, just for some reason they wont show.

In IE7 there are image placholders (ie the white square with the red dot), but they do not show, and I checked them with my firewall off so its not that :s
