Max File Resolution & Size
« on: December 07, 2010, 12:01:12 am »
When a member goes to edit a picture he has already uploaded it gives the option to also replace the photo and under the Browse button it says "Max width xxx pixels Max height xxx pixels". This is great. Is there a reason though this text does not show on the main add a picture page? It would be equally helpful to have it show there as well from the initial picture uploading step.

Also, it would be good to include the maximum file size that is permitted there too. This way someone knows exactly the maximum resolution and file size they can upload right at the time of picture upload. And this way if the admin of the forum decides to increase or decrease those limits it is always showing there so that members don't need to be notified each time there is an increase or decrease on the resolution and file size limits.

Many thanks.

I had it setup so that on the add picture page you would not see the max height/width settings if you had image resize enabled. I forgot to add that on the edit picture to hide if you resize enabled added to 3.0.11 on edit picture to hide that information if resize is enabled.

Thanks. I have installed the latest version 3.0.11 you just released and I disabled the "Resize Images if too large" setting although when adding or editing an image it still does not show the maximum file size allowed.
