Keyword Limit?
« on: December 09, 2010, 12:07:56 am »
What is the character limit on keywords? It seems kind of low. Can this limit be increased or set somewhere?

Also, do keywords need to be comma separated or just space separated?

Need to be separated by commas. Keywords on a picture are limited to 100 characters can be increased though an alter table cmd example

Alter table smf_gallery_pic CHANGE keywords keywords varchar(255);

Which would raise it to 255 characters

Thanks. Is that a file edit you are referring to or done via phpMyAdmin or something like that?

Also, is the comment string you wrote supposed to show the word "keyword" twice as you have it written out?

Understood about needing commas, but when you type them in using commas, save, and then go back to do an edit the commas are gone. Seems they are removed by the system. So are they really necessary?

Thanks

This is a database query that needs to be run on your database to take affect
Code: [Select]
Alter table smf_gallery_pic CHANGE keywords keywords varchar(255);

At one point I did spaces but then thought commas would be better it should be commas though
