recent listing problem related to database changes
« on: December 13, 2010, 02:28:55 am »
So. ive finally decided on how the setup should be, so i deleted a lot of categories without deleting the actual "recent items" stuff that i listed which were related to it. after setting up my final layout for how the site should work and redoing the categories and subcategories,
each time i use ezportal to use the recent listing these old remnants of the old setup i had dont seem to go away and keep appearing, ive tried deleting them countless times as admin but still they remain, tried the smf database clear cache and checks, also the cpanel repair database and it' still there. how do i fix this?

deleted the old boards. seems to work again now

yeah it seems when u create then delete categories and its somehow already linked to some other mods or forums or portal it stays with the db and causes some input problems with integers and looks for the old categories when u try deleting. i just redid everything again lol and it worked fine with repair db from cpanel and forum maintenance, im not sure what cleaned it up though.

it would also be nice in the future to be able to have certain filters for subcats for people who want something scalable by area, its a pain to redo everything again :)

god this was all caused by me setting a wrong decimal in the post per points in S.A. shop lol
just worked now, i set points per post to something like .5 and i couldnt post anything since it seems it doesnt accept less than 1 integers, decimals. :) sorry for all this and its all fine now, i can post new topics again.

btw:
