Multiple banners...
« on: December 17, 2010, 02:15:03 pm »
Hi
Is it possible to have multiple banners in the same location? Instead of the rotation function...

You mean like side by side? If so you have to use the custom code option and create a table and have a banner next to each other.

Yes exactly.

I know another SMF forum that have multiple ads side by side with different "buyers". Each banner is linked to a external website.

Is it possible to add it like this from the custom code?

You can do something like this in custom code
Code: [Select]
<table>
<tr>
<td>
<a href="http://www.websiteone.com"><img src="http://www.site.com/banner1.jpg" alt=""></a>
</td>
<td>
<a href="http://www.websitetwo.com"><img src="http://www.site.com/banner2.jpg" alt=""></a>
</td>
</tr>
</table>

Aha, thats nice.

But, is it possible to let the customers buy side by side ads through the "By ad" or do we have to make them our selfes?

You would either have to make it yourself.
Or create a new ad location and place it side by side.

I made a new location named Overall header 2

Code: [Select]
// Begin Ad Seller Pro Location - Overall Header 2

global $sourcedir;
include_once $sourcedir . "/adseller.php";

$adSellerAdData =  ShowAdLocation(1000);

// Check if any ads where found
if ($adSellerAdData != false)
{
// Dispaly the advertising code
echo $adSellerAdData;
}

// End Ad Seller Pro Location - Overall Header 2

Is that correct?

Its not showing 2 ads side by side...

That code is good you need to place it next to the order location inside a table like i did for banners.
