New Install, Old DB!
« on: December 23, 2011, 05:15:39 am »
I am currently running SMF 2.0 RC5 and SMF Gallery Pro, a while back I had some problems and a developer from TP helped sort things out, I now have some plugins installed that are no longer configurable from the admin panel and some white pages.

I remember about 4 years ago when I was running another forum script I installed a completely fresh copy in a new folder, connected to the old db, reinstalled the plugins then removed all the old installation files and moved the new folder to the correct position.

Question is, if I repeat this process to iron out the problems will the Gallery and links remain the same as before?

Yes the gallery and links will remain the same since that information is in the database.

The gallery folder is also required since that stores all the image files make sure to leave that folder in your forum intact.

Obviously I will have to reinstall the gallery script, will this overwrite anything in the gallery folder?
