Resize image does not work
« on: March 24, 2007, 03:23:08 pm »
Hello,

I noticed that resize image feature is not working for me.

I have 650x800 size permissions. And when a bigger picture is being uploaded I get this error

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 12582912 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 650 bytes) in /home/russianwa/public_html/forum/Sources/Subs-Graphics.php on line 306

I was uploading picture 700px wide, 450px high,  82kb.

As soon as I change width settings to 700 uploading works.

What is the way to fix it?

Can you attach the picture that you used. Perfer it to be zipped if you can.

Here is one of those pictures which did not work with 650 width setting but worked with 700.

I've tried several times today to upload different pictures which have size bigger then max limit width or height. They all were within the weight limit.

Basically when max size limit iz equal or greater they load up. When pic is over the size limit I get that error. No desirable resizing takes place. Which is very unfortunate.

It's not the picture issue I think

Attached is the othe one that would not get loaded. But the thing is there is a whole bunch of pictures like that.  They all load fine into coppermine and get resized and everything. But far Gallery Pro for some reason resize also does not work. Well at least for me it does not.

Thank You

The one attached in the previous post I was able to resize on my test forum. Currently I am using SMF's built in image resizing function to handle image sizing.

Attached is one of the photos that wont work.

The file size is 273KB, my max file limit is 1025KB.

I get the message - 'Picture exceeds max filesize. Max Filesize is 1024kb'

Sir. I understand that. What am I supposed to do to make the product I bought work?

Issue is pretty simple. If dimentional limit is set to "X" - then any file which exeeds 600 in size won't get loaded and subsequently resized to set dimentions. There is nothing else to it.

We love the product. Just want it to start working...

You see ... it's not the weight issue. It's dimentional issue. Change you max width/height to accomodate the dimentions of the attached photo and it will work just fine. Though photo will not get resized.

Disable image resize for now if its an issue or increase php memory limits.  If proves to be an issue with many people I could right my own image resize function in the next release the gallery instead of using SMF's.

Sir,

Basically I have paid for the product I can not use.

Bugs in my installation include

1. The one mentioned in this topic
2. Only 5 image bulk upload instead of 10
3. Picture import does not work

It has been over a month since I've bout the Pro version and yet I can not let my users add pictures, because of the above issues. Sad.
