Notification System

I am currently using the "free" version, and would gladly upgrade to pro if this facility was included, i wonder if you could confirm it please

I have tried to set up an alert for members, as follows.

(1) a download is made, this then is posted in a board
(2) that board is set to Alert, (it should notify anyone with the set permission  via email) I believe

It seems that the echo made in the board by the download software, does not get recognised by the alert facility. If i manually post in the board, the alert follows shortly after. Happy to switch to pro if it can solve this problem.

Any thoughts ?

By alert you mean the topic notify system? Such as the notify on this topic and button in the board itself?

Thank you for your prompt reply.

I did try via the usual method, setting up a test account with notify on topic, but to no avail.

Now, I have set the permission profile of the board to "alerts". via the admin page /boards/edit

I can confirm have added notify board support for downloads pro in the latest update.
Sample notify topic sent from a download that is in a download category with auto posting to a board show below

More topics may be posted, but you won't receive more email notifications until you return to the board and read some of them.
